September
- 7 Studio closed for Labor Day!
- 19 GO! Contemporary Dance Works Auditions. Level V Ballet/Modern and up qualified to audition.
$20.00 audition fee made payable to GO! required at time of audition.
GO! Fundraiser sponsored by the Dinner A’fare begins. Tired of being stressed over what’s for dinner? 12 meals, 2 hours while also supporting the arts! For details ask Lynn at the desk!
October
- 3 GO! Pancake breakfast at Applebee’s Bearden 8-10AM. Tickets $5.00
- 15-16 Classes will be held during Fall Break
- 19-23 Observation Week! Parents are invited to observe dancers in class. Refreshments served.
November ($50 costume fee per class due this month!)
- 9-13 Classes begin working on in-studio Christmas performance.
- 26-27 Studio closed for Thanksgiving Holidays
December/January
- Dec 1 Last day to pay costume fee.
- Dec.7-11 In Studio Christmas Performance during class times. Parents and relatives are invited to observe classes. Refreshments served.
- Dec 14-Jan 1 Studio closed for Christmas Holidays.
- January 4 Classes resume. Please note as Knox County will not be in session on Monday.
February
- 20-21 GO! Show! GO! Contemporary Dance Works and artistic director Lisa Hall McKee will present its 7th annual performance at the Bijou Theatre. Appropriate for all ages.
March
- 8-12 Mandatory Parent Meetings for the studio Spring Concert, May 8th at the Tennessee Theatre. Meeting is held during your dancer’s regularly schedule classtime. $30 performance fee due at time of meeting. Parent or Legal Guardian must attend meeting. No babysitters or nannies.
- 15 Mandatory Rehearsals begin for all classes. Please note this is prior to Spring Break
- 29-Apr 2 Studio closed for Spring Break
April
- 5 Classes resume. Mandatory classes have begun. Please note Knox County not in session.
- 16-18 Week 1: Extra mandatory weekend rehearsals for Spring Concert (at studio)
- 23-25 Week 2: Extra mandatory weekend rehearsals for Spring Concert (at studio)
- 30-May 2 Week 3: Extra mandatory weekend rehearsals for Spring Concert (at studio)
May
- 6 Tech Rehearsals at the Tennessee Theatre
- 7 Dress Rehearsal at the Tennessee Theatre
- 8 Studio Performance at the Tennessee Theatre 5:30PM
Classes will be conducted during Fall Break October 15 and 16, November 25, January 4, January 18, February 15, and April 5. These are all days when Knox County schools will not be in session. Please plan on attending classes if available. Our snow policy is “If the roads are clear, we are here.”
