Knoxville’s Premier Adult and Children’s Dance Studio
Studio Arts for Dancers - Premier Knoxville Dance Studio for Adult and Children's Dance Classes
SAFD believes year round training for dance is critical for upper level dancers while for our younger dancers, summer is a great time to experiment with different styles of dance and to take project based week long camps
Studio Arts for Dancers of Knoxville, TN was founded in 1991 by its artistic director, Lisa Hall McKee. The purpose of Studio Arts has been to promote the art of dance by providing quality training, creative performance opportunities and artistic enrichment for young dancers, offering a wide variety of dance classes. Studio Arts is known for its devotion to nurturing confidence while developing technical excellence in its young dancers. While Studio Arts primarily works with dancers in Knoxville, Maryville, Farragut and Oak Ridge, we also have a number of adults and children from other surrounding areas, as well, and welcome anyone to our dance studio!
Studio Arts for Dancer’s ballet and modern training program consists of the grade level Pre-Primary (age 3,4,5), Primary (age 6,7), Levels I,II,III,IV,V,VI, Intermediate and Advance. Jazz classes are offered to dancers age 12 and above. All higher levels are given a skill and vocabulary test to further enhance their understanding of the classwork.
Our mission is the encouragement of youth to explore the wonders, challenges, and rewards of dance while developing individual artistry and technical excellence within each child.
